Aphios collaborates with Researchers in the Biotechnology Process Engineering Center, and Biology Chemical Engineering Departments at MIT on several different research fronts from the reversed micellar purification of recombinant proteins to the recovery of intracellular proteins and enzymes from microbial cells and the inactivation of viruses. Collaborations have also been geared to the establishment of Aphios’ marine microorganism saline fermentation and drug discovery laboratories, the design and selection of materials for large-scale saline fermentation, and the optimization of fermentation conditions for marine microorganisms with potent biological activities.
