Under
a Collaborative Research Agreement, Aphios is utilizing its
SuperFluids™ fractionation technology for the
fast and selective separation of secondary metabolites from
marine microorganisms. These fractions have been tested for
anti-HIV activity by Aphios and anti-cancer activity by BioMar.
Twenty (20) microbes were found to be active against HIV-1;
the most active has been scaled-up by Aphios Corporation for
SuperFluids™ fractionation, chemistry and further
development.

performs drug research on compounds and extracts in the field
of biological activity for therapeutic and pharmaceutical
use and development of commercial products by third parties.
