Aphios Corporation is collaborating with Paracelsian, Inc., Ithaca, NY to develop nutraceuticals of standardized composition with superior biological functions. To date, the Companies are collaborating on the development of improved SuperCool™ St. John for depression, SuperCool™ Palmetto for the treatment of for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and SuperCool™ Kava for anxiety. The collaboration combines the selective power of Aphios Corporation’s “green” SuperFluids™ CXF and CXP technologies with Paracelsian’s BioFIT™ “functional” quality assurance system for assaying disease-specific biological activity. The BioFIT™ system incorporates both human digestive and bioavailability models for defining and validating “structure/function” claims for herbal products.
